How do you make sure that you’re cleaning the green way?

Good questions! ECO Interior Maintenance is dedicated to providing an organic cleaning services that take a scientific approach to green cleaning. We do this by closely keeping our eyes and ears on evolving science initiated by leading organizations in the environmentally friendly cleaning industry.

ECO Interior Maintenance is a national and local member of USGBC. It has coordinated a voluntary environmental sustainability plan designed to enhance the efficiency of building facility operations. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) www.usgbc.org program addresses a holistic approach that covers designs, specifications, and implementation strategies for integrated maintenance applications. Our CEO, Doug Bradford is a LEED AP O&M.

The maintenance of textile floor covering was recently addressed by (a) Green Seal www.greenseal.org in the new GS-37 and GS-42 and (b) the Carpet and Rug Institute’s (CRI) www.carpet-rug.org Seal of Approval (SOA) program for cleaning solutions and equipment. Various cleaning solutions are currently being reviewed for CRI SOA approval and/or Green Seal approval.

We also members of The Cleaning Industry Research Institute (CIRI) (www.ciri.org). This organization is currently investigating and testing cleaning principles.

ECO friendly Approach to Green Cleaning

Aside from closely monitoring sustainable carpet cleaning and maintenance practices, we follow The Design for the Environment (DfE) www.epa.gov/dfe program. It is one of EPA’s premier partnership programs that work with individual industry sectors to compare and improve performance and human health, as well as assesses environmental risks and costs of existing and alternative products, processes, and practices. DfE  partnership projects promote integrating cleaner, cheaper, and smarter solutions into everyday business practices.
